[Inpycon] PyCon India 2023 - Weekly Updates - 11th May

Hello Everyone,

We hope you are doing well! As you know, we are doing weekly check-in
calls[0] at 8:00 pm IST every Thursday, on PyCon India 2023 progress, all
WG leads are adding their updates in the MoM document[1], feel free to take
a look.

Below is the high-level summary of the updates -

   - Communication:
      - Announced "in-person event" post on all social media channels.
      - Upcoming tasks include "Do you Know" posts, "Call for Proposal" and
      "Call for Sponsor" designs, and announcing "PyCon India Logo Launch /
      Coming Soon" on social media channels.
   - Sponsorship:
      - Prospectus review pending on Sponsorship Tiers; draft to be ready
      by the end of this week/early next week.
      - The tentative date for Prospectus design delivery from WebChirpy is
      15th May; might be delayed by a week.
   - Platform:
      - PyCon India 2023 event created in junction:
      https://in.pycon.org/cfp/pycon-india-2023/proposals/
      - Pending tasks: Database backup import, CI/CD for junction, and DNS
      switch to DigitalOcean
   - Keynote Speakers:
      - Keynote finalization is likely to be delayed, because of declines,
      As of now we are hoping to close in the next 10 days
      - 1 keynote speaker (Kailash Nadh) accepted, 6 declined so far, and 3
      more are under consideration.
      - Identified the next set of speakers to reach out to.
   - Logistics:
      - We have got the proposal from HICC (Novotel), and evaluation is in
      progress we'll visit the venue and start the negotiation.
      - CFP:
      - CFP launch is delayed, likely to be launched now around 15th May
      - Sections and Sub-sections finalized; Section and Reviewer's mapping
      in progress.
      - Next week's tasks: Junction Testing, Reviewer <> Section mapping,
      Section description fine-tuning, RBAC testing, and checking Talk proposal
      best practices wiki.
   - Content:
      - Organized introductory call with volunteers and discussed content
      ideas.
      - Action items: Follow up with Shashank for volunteers guide,
      discussion with the communication team on content/post ideas,
and writeups
      for Junction descriptions.
   - Design:
      - The logo launch is also delayed because of multiple iterations with
      Webchirpy, likely to be finalized by tomorrow
      - The logo and design assets are to be finalized this Friday.
      - Planned volunteers meet with around 6 volunteers.
   - Technology:
      - Started creating tasks for website components and features.
      - Action items: Test configurable components from markdown or yaml,
      set up WG call, and build configuration for the website.
   - R&D + Diversity :
      - Bhanu and Pradhvan will be ideating this week.
      - Reached out to Django Girls Indore about organizing workshops
      experience.
   - Mentorship:
      - Gajendra would start the work on mentorship workgroup starting next
      week
      - Need 4-5 volunteers for Gajendra's mentorship initiative.
