Thanks for the great suggestions Abhijit. I'll certainly edit to reflect
them.

About the rehearsals being mandatory, the idea is to make the expectation
clear to potential speakers. If not, experienced speakers might feel less
inclined to participate - something we want to avoid (we noticed that at
Pysangamam last year).

About the diversity point, since we are convinced its worth trying for
better diversity, having a clearly-stated goal will solidify our commitment
towards the idea, and also help us take calculated steps towards it.

That's the thought process behind the two.

After the initial voting on the mailing list, our design team has been 
working closely with Webchirpy to tune up the top voted logo [3]. This 
effort has culminated in an improved version [1] of the initial design. 
There are two variants, one for dark backgrounds [2] and one for light 
backgrounds [1].

Bouquets and brickbats are welcome! :-)

Though there are powerful functions within numpy, I'm looking for some
exercise/programming problems where more than one numpy functions may apply
to solve.
Do you have any pointers of such set of problems?
I think mathematicians are the right person to give us some programming
problems based on numpy.













Teaching is an art and a challenge as well. It doesn't matter how much we
know. What matters is how clearly others can understand what we know. If
you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. I'm teacher
by profession but student by nature.
Teaching is also a research, and research helps in teaching.

I like to propose Professor. Amritansu Prasad [1].
He did contribution to Mathematical Tool called sage which uses python.
A mathematician using python in Teaching. It is good to have people like him
giving keynote.

I would like to suggest Anand Babu Periasamy 
https://www.linkedin.com/in/abperiasamy/ He is the creator of GlusterFS 
and MinIO. He is an ardent supporter of "Free" Software, and he is an 
early contributor to the GNU project. His current work, MinIO, is built 
around Go, but he is a polyglot, and his all round perspective about 
programming languages will be a great addition to the conference. He 
will also be a great inspiration to the participants, in terms of 
building businesses around free and open source software.

Prabhu was the keynote speaker for the first edition of PyCon India. The
first ever PyCon India was  kickstarted with his keynote. FOSSEE, the
organization he was part of at that time was also one of the sponsors for
that event.

since work was started in Feb, for PyCon India 2019.
