looks like a botched or incomplete install; the selftest script picks up 
the Python files for 1.1.6, but the _imaging.so module for 1.1.5.

(note that you cannot use a plain "build" followed by selftest; you need 
to either do a "build_ext -i", or do a full install).

(using 1.1.6b1 instead of 1.1.6a2 is also a good idea).
