Hello. I have noticed a strange bug in the Imaging Library.
I have PIL version 0.1b1, and I have just downloaded python 1.4
PIL compiles perfectly.

However, when I try to import the _imaging module I get this:

>>> import _imaging
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
python: can't resolve symbol 'fgetc'
Traceback (innermost last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
ImportError: Unable to resolve symbol
>>>

Does anyone have any idea what causes this? I tried rebuilding
python, and I have tried rebuilding PIL, and always I get the same
results. I have Linux 2.0 Pentium 90, GCC 2.7.0  As I said, I just
downloaded python 1.4 from their ftp site.

Thanks for any help.
