I'm lurking on the list.  Seems to be kind of quiet here.  I suspect
it would pick up a bit if there were a Python based image library or
better yet an application that ran on multiple platforms.  I recall
seeing anouncements of a soon to be released library, but so far
nothing has surfaced.
