I can't read turkish, but this looks to me like a fork of the code
(seing plenty of turkish phrases in comments or strings) :-/

OK, I guess that for a start and my immediate needs for french language,
this shouldn't be a problem.

It looks like Damien Marié has started with a solution based on gettext
that looks nice to me, even though I'm not so much anymore a Python
expert : http://bugs.python.org/issue17776

After a few tests, it looks like I can translate messages in a .po file
and get them displayed in french in the menus on the 2.7 branch :-)

Looks promising :-)
