[I18n-sig] gettext tutorial

Hello All:

I am working on a web application (written in python of course) that 
will display a po file and allow people to translate these po files 
using this web app.

I am looking for two things:

- tuturial on how to use gettext module in python
- how to translate one item using command line tools (no editing of the 
file) if it does exists.
