Summary: expat-1.95.6 (out of box) fails to compile on Mac OS X 10.2

Initial Comment:
or at least gives many errors which I suspect to be the
reason for not being able to make perl XML::Parser and
XML::Twig.

I'll attach my configure / make session's output

I no longer have really easy access to a Mac OS X box; might
be able to get to it from remote.

In that case you will need to ask someone who knows
how to check out from CVS, or wait for Expat 1.95.7.

I don't know how to check out from CVS (I'm no programmer).
I just downloaded the package from sourceforge.

I already downloaded the previous version (1.95.5) and it
compiled fine. It works (almos) perfectly except that I get
a segmentation fault with my perl script on Mac OS while I
get none on Intel Solaris with expat 1.95.6.

Could this be a duplicate of (closed) bug #765227 ?
In any case, please check out from CVS and try again.
This might solve your problem.

Assigned to Fred, as he claims to have access
to a Mac OS X system.
