I'm interested in your project, and have no doubt that the issues
you raise are indeed relevant to Python in education (i.e. the 
number of puzzle pieces one might need to assemble).

What I'm worried about keeping is a new version of IDLE.  I'm 
using Python 1.6a exclusively these days (works OK for my 
needs, I've blown away 1.5.2).

Will I be able to install your package in a separate tree on
my G: drive without messing with 1.6?
