We've had a fantastic response - over 80 applicants so far for 36 places! I'm looking for a couple more coaches (female or male). You need to be familiar with django, but you don't need to be a django expert to be a coach. Participants in the workshop will work in groups of 3 with one coach per group. Coaches will support their groups as they work through the Django Girls tutorial to build a blog application from scratch. If you're interested, please fill in the form on the website - www.djangogirls.org/edinburgh Thanks Becky Smith @rebkwok @PyLadiesEdin @djangogirlsEDI -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... There will be printouts of the Python logo on the table to help any newcomers recognise us. Hope to see you there! --Mark -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Twitter used to offer a 'token' based OAuth workflow that used to give the user a 4-digit code that they would then enter into the terminal. Unfortunately, I don't think any OAuth service offers a terminal-only workflow - at some point the user always needs to open up a web-page. It might be worth having a look at https://foauth.org/ and see if it suits your requirements. --Mark On 10 October 2014 22:02, Nick Apostolakis wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hello, > > does anyone have any experience with using the google apis from a > simple command line tool? > Not a web app that has callback urls etc. > I can't find any examples out there for simple command line tools. > Everything seems to revolve around authenticating web apps. > > e.g even the relavant sections for legacy and backend application > flows in requests-oauthlib are empty > (http://requests-oauthlib.readthedocs.org/en/latest/oauth2_workflow.html) > > Thank you > - -- > -------------------------------------------------------------- > Nick Apostolakis > Msc in IT, University of Glasgow > GPG ID: 0xBDF1848D > e-mail: nickapos at oncrete.gr > Web Site: http://nick.oncrete.gr > -------------------------------------------------------------- > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1 > > iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJUOEl5AAoJENqXDQa98YSNYokH/1wTq2x/g7hdtUdj6dTV69kB > u5LpyOpSR9gGBg+B1pKjvMzCEexJAEXScoguCLQZQhsJ7gDOMMq4y8i1p7xNu34i > mIjmHw4MYJ4/RDqjMVmP5wA1OkFXLQvBNWdyTGlxXwZTPyVCYQbukqMoHNAG/onX > aHKHhcICvNrmK0JlPVS7Njf6s0At5cJSxEvm1/dnF5IXlBWXqeIyt34F+n86dtLB > yFCnYuRcBiYaxRl9En3bkAaZ/T9PP5eCaGqwTJ17SYSA4ySO0DJz91dwWTWiNg6S > 3hRx66rVMQA7e7Z7K+DYQE1M1RdhBB8F62WEu1LuU4hyna4P5sHAWCe9/8Wf8IQ= > =tdcB > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > _______________________________________________ > Edinburgh mailing list > Edinburgh at python.org > https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/edinburgh > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... After some experimentation, i realized that no google service is offering an api that will work properly with a console based app so i followed an alternative approach. not what i had in mind initially but it will do for now.
