[Distutils] Which Build Distribution Formats do exist?

I don't understand why reading docs from a tool you're not using would make
you "feel on unsafe ground". At worst the docs don't apply to you, at best
they do, but only if you follow them.

In any case, the first line of the document "Building and Distributing
Packages with Setuptools" [1] reads:

 - "Setuptools is a collection of *enhancements* to the Python
distutils...".

So, if you're using setuptools, you are using (an enhanced) distutils. So,
really, no reason to be scared of its documentation.

No, but wanting won't make it happen. Contributing (or paying someone else
to do it) will.
