Would it be appropriate to add the conference to the www.pycon.org webpage? I know. It's a semantic web framework, so... However, the following url should point to the 2011 edition: http://www.euroscipy.org/conference/euroscipy2011 > and you don't specify a paper submission deadline. It's on the page I point to above. If you find that it's not explicit enough, let it know, and I'll see want I can do (with the constraints of the web framework). I think it's a Bad Idea to require JavaScript for basic conference information! Note very carefully: if you follow the confinfo link you'll see the *talk* submission deadline, but there's nothing about the *paper* submission deadline. In my academic community, it is very much used like this, but I can see that it can be confusing. I'll rephrase, and use 'call for contributions'. Message-ID: Hi folks, Andrew Kuchling and I and others have been discussing the possibility of a Python conference (or unconference) in DC sometime in 2012, for folks unable to make it to the west coast for PyCon 2012. I know I can't devote any serious time to planning this year, but I wanted to at least get the idea out in the public in case we do decide to move forward; we can then hit the ground running, probably in early 2012. Also, our non-profit organization's 501(c)(3) application was just accepted by the IRS, so we are now free to organize more events[0]. About me: ======== Python consultant near DC (mostly doing Plone, Django, Pyramid) I am the organizer of Plone Conference 2008[1] in DC (along with my wife, Matt Bowen, and many others) so I have some conference organizing experience. I also organize the monthly DC Python meetups[2]. Any feedback welcome!
