Yes, O'Hare does have its bad days.  September 11th has mitigated them
somewhat, but the problem remains.

Evanston is right on Lake Michigan with all that implies.  (Northwestern has
a very nice piece of lakefront real estate.)  The lake tends to moderate the
temperature.  We're typically 5-10 degrees warmer in the winter and cooler
by a similar amount in the summer.
