about us …
*Elske Seidel (Berlin) and Or Fruchter (Israel)* are both dedicated CI teachers highly respecting the art of teaching. They share a great passion for researching CI, inspiring each other, supporting and trusting, developing ideas into creating magic in teaching. At the moment in their dancing, they are interested in following momentum into flow, effortlessness and ease and riding spirals into 3-dimensionality.
They are just coming back from extensively teaching and dancing together in Israel, continuing now in Germany.
*Elske Seide*, based in Berlin, is a globally connected CI dancer and internationally engaged CI teacher. She has been teaching dance independently for over 17 years, CI since 2004, investigating the core question of how to allow dance to be alive when teaching it. She is interested in meeting in dance, exchanging and developing, building community, performing, organizing CI events with a special interest in bringing together community, as well as studio focus and nature experience (e.g. organizing the Contact Festival Fuerteventura). This summer she is invited to teach at the Moscow Contact Festival as well as in the Ibiza Contact Festival.
*Or Fruchter* (Israel) is organizing the contact scene in the Haifa area/ Israel, organizing jams, teaching workshops and classes, and creating community. He is inviting and hosting international teachers to come and teach in Israel. He is co-organizing the Annual Israeli Contact Festival. He started dancing CI in 1998 and teaching it since 2003. Coming from a rich background of practise of martial arts, he finds a lot of common ground between CI and Martial Arts. Also trained in different massage, healing and bodywork techniques, he often uses this knowledge to enrich the dance and fine-tune the body in and out of it. He is interested in dancing outside, exploring, meeting nature and meeting new eyes every time, sharing this unusually grace.
*Tom Winter* (Sylt) is a former dancer (crossover from classical ballet over Modern Dance till expression dance). He danced with many companies and choreographers, e.g. Arila Siegert, Ralf Dörnen and Mike Salomon. He lives in Sylt, is teaching dance and works as a tour guide on the island. He loves the roughness and beautiful nature of Sylt and wants to bring Contact Improvisation out into his most beloved spots on the island.
He is co-organizing and hosting ‘Summer Contact Retreat – Sylt 2010’
