Message-ID: <000001c36825$3e27f2f0$54e64a43@MAX> To all interested movers and improvisers (previous dance training not necessary!), As a result of growing interest within the Baltimore experimental music/dance/theater community, we are starting a new, facilitated, contact and movement improvisation jam meeting twice monthly IN BALTIMORE! So who is "we"? We are Cathy Paine, Gretchen Heilman, Stacie Lanier, the participants from Nicole Bindler's workshop, and lots of others (including you!) So who's going to facilitate? The facilitators will rotate, and anyone who wants to volunteer can facilitate a session. Cathy Paine, an experienced contact improvisation teacher, has volunteered for the first session, on Sunday September 14th. Will there be classes? Is this strictly contact improvisation? Good questions - if you would like some input into these or other matters then please arrive promptly at 3pm for our first meeting. (We would like to spend most of the two hours moving!) WHAT: a facilitated contact and movement improvisation jam, open to all! WHEN: 3pm-5pm on the SECOND and FOURTH Sunday of every month, starting September 14th, 2003. WHERE: Experimental Movement Concepts, 3618 Falls Road, Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21211 (in Hampden.) COST: suggested donation - $3. ALSO!! There are plans in the making for a monthly experimental/improvisational dance and movement showcase (same time and place, FIRST Sunday of the month starting in October.) Anyone interested please contact Cathy Paine by return email, or at 410/243-1891. Get ready to move! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... These don't adversely affect my Mac, but are annoyingly tedious to download, so I feel sorry for anyone on dialup. I noticed that a lot of the virally-generated email has an assortment of old email addresses from the dance community, and realized that they may be from one of the East Coast Jam lists that have been sent out over the last few years to every attendee. This virus sends itself out in emails with "spoofed" sender addresses, which it picks up from any files, anywhere on the infected computer. Just in case you attended the Jam and have a copy of any of those lists on a computer running Windows, please take a moment to check your antivirus software, update the virus definitions, and then run a scan over your disks. If you don't have an antivirus application installed, you can scan your drives for free here: Just click on 'scan online' on the lefthand side, and then either sign up for the notification service, or just go ahead and take advantage of the free online scan. If you'd like to get a serious, powerful and easy to use antivirus application to protect your system, consider subscribing to the full version of the RAV software mentioned above, or look at F-Secure If this week o'viruses has brought you down, read about the Welchi worm, which kills off the Lovsan A. virus, installs the Microsoft patch that keeps that virus from spreading, and then dies off itself. A well-crafted anti-virus-virus, with curious embedded messages, but read the report: breathe in, breathe out -- Mugsy Don't make me use uppercase.
