Notice that it would be interesting to group the download counter by client
type,
to know if the package was downloaded manually or automatically by tools
like easy_install
or zc.buildout:

some packages like zc.recipe.egg have high values because they are
automatically downloaded
everytime someone builds an application with zc.buildout.

This would involve clients to provide the info in the request headers of
course.
