In my case it is a bit complicated with dictionary and dictionary of list. What I have ended up doing is convert the create an object of the yaml data and pass on individual dictionaries and lists to template.rendrer. Works for me as I can now access individual dictionaries using the object in a pythonic way. I'll post the example on github once I am done with the code. I always thought of Jesse as a rock-star - as an amazing Python community organizer and developer. It was a surprise to see how much going "giving it all" had affected his personal life. When we see people in the community, you don't think much beyond on how they do the work-life balance, you don't sometimes see beyond the brave facades they put. It takes a lot of courage to write the way he did and I hope he would be able to pick the pieces of his life and carry on. -- Regards, --Anand ---------------------------- Software Architect/Consultant anandpillai at letterboxes.org http://twitter.com/skeptichacker From gora at mimirtech.com Thu Oct 29 15:07:27 2015 From: gora at mimirtech.com (Gora Mohanty) Date: Fri, 30 Oct 2015 00:37:27 +0530 Subject: [BangPypers] Life lessons shared by Jesse Noller In-Reply-To: <56326097.3010107@letterboxes.org> References: <87mvv1ybbh.fsf@nibrahim.net.in> <56326097.3010107@letterboxes.org> Message-ID: On 29 October 2015 at 23:38, Anand B Pillai wrote: > On Thursday 29 October 2015 08:24 PM, Noufal Ibrahim KV wrote: >> On Thu, Oct 29 2015, Gora Mohanty wrote: >> >> >> [...] >> >>> With all due respect to Mr. Noller, the article is not germane to this >>> list. OK, we will have to agree to disagree, Incidentally, this was posted to the bangpypers list which is explicitly devoted to Python, and not to the Pycon list. > There are lessons to learn from it. I also wish him well, but again I strongly disagree as to the relevance of this post on a technical list. If we don't explicitly point this out, people may start sharing posts that they found useful but are irrelevant to the list. The Slack channel, however, is precisely meant for all sort of discussions that may seem informal for the mailing list.
