[BangPypers] Autocompletion in emacs

Hi!

    Has anyone been able to get auto completion going in emacs python mode? 
I tried using rope and ropemacs but could not get it to load and run properly.

    I tried using SPE (Although I would prefer to use emacs) but it crashes each time I type "gtk."  (without the quotes. It crashes as soon as I enter the ".", most probably something to do with auto completion). I am on a 64 bit Hardy Heron machine.
