Hi Martin
There is a Python suite called astropysics which includes some photometric routines.
You can find it through pip or the website is: http://pythonhosted.org/Astropysics/

Hello all,
I'm a newbie and I'm trying to do some photometry in python without getting into iraf.
Probably this has been asked many times, but I couldn't find an answer.
Is there any equivalent python library that works like iraf? I don't mean pyraf because
that would require installing iraf am I right?
I plan to build some pipeline in python and I would like to make it iraf-independent.
I particularly would like to do stuff like daophot and also any tool that can find individual
sources on an image (or at least count them).
Thanks in advance,
M.
